Anne-Marie O'Donnell - TCRG, ADCRG, BG
Founder and Principal Director

Anne-Marie O'Donnell is the Founder and Principal Director of the O'Donnell School of Traditional Irish Dancing. An accomplished champion dancer, Anne-Marie won many awards throughout North America and Overseas. Upon retirement from competitive dance, she opened the O'Donnell School of Traditional Irish Dancing in 1980 holding professional Irish dance designations in teaching, adjudication, and grade examinations.
She is an active member of the Irish Dance Teachers Association of Canada, the Irish Dance Teacher Association of North America and An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (Dublin, Ireland), and finds time to donate her talents to other non-profit organizations.
Shannon Lyne
Assistant Teacher

Shannon Lyne is an accomplished championship dancer and Assistant Teacher at the O'Donnell School of Traditional Irish Dancing. Shannon began dancing with Anne-Marie at the age of 7 and has excelled throughout her competitive career, competing internationally and representing Canada at numerous World Irish Dance Championships. She has achieved top placements at the North American Irish Dance Championships and several Top 5 placements at the Eastern Canadian Oireachtas Championships.
Shannon is also a recipient of an Irish Dance Teachers Association of North America (IDTANA) Scholarship and has extensive performance experience at various events and charity functions. Shannon has had the opportunity to perform alongside world renowned Irish singer, television presenter, and philanthropist Daniel O’Donnell, as well as at events attended by the Prime Minister of Canada, Irish Ambassador, and numerous visiting dignitaries.
Shannon has successfully completed all 12 Grade Examinations with An Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha (CLRG). In addition to her extensive dance experience, Shannon holds a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education and is certified with the Ontario College of Teachers. Shannon is passionate about sharing her love of Irish dance and helping the next generation of dancers to build confidence, develop their skills, and achieve their goals.
